A task force of police, state agents and federal marshals tracked down a violent fugitive in Wheat Ridge - and seized guns and ammunition.
"The suspect tried to run from task force members but was unsuccessful and apprehended before he could get on a sport bike" near West 44th Avenue and Tabor Street last week, Wheat Ridge police said. "A search warrant uncovered multiple firearms, one of which was stolen," police added.
The fugitive was wanted by the state corrections department for a parole violation and by the Adams County Sheriff's Office for felony larceny. His name wasn't released.
