Flames engulfed a home Saturday night in the Crystal Valley section of Castle Rock. The residents and their pets escaped the fire near the intersection of Loop Drive and Echo Hollow Street.
"Firefighters encountered a fully involved garage fire with reports of possible explosions originating from inside the garage," Castle Rock Fire said. "The fire had also extended to a vehicle in the driveway and into the residence."
"Two civilians were treated for minor injuries, and one individual was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment," officials said. The cause of the fire was under investigation. Earlier Saturday, crews battled a two-alarm fire in The Meadows neighborhood of Castle Rock, near Clear Sky Elementary School. No injuries were reported. Two cats were rescued. [Photo: Castle Rock Fire]
