TROOPER, DEPUTY SHOOT AUTO THEFT SUSPECT IN DENVER

UPDATE An auto theft suspect was shot Tuesday by a state trooper and an Adams County sheriff's deputy in Denver. The male suspect, driving a truck stolen from eastern Adams County, was tracked to a Sinclair service station at North Santa Fe Drive and West 6th Avenue, said Matthew Packard, chief of the state patrol. Preliminary evidence indicates he opened fire on the trooper and deputy from inside the station. The truck was equipped with a tracking device. The suspect, age 35, was reported in stable condition at hospital. There were no other injuries.
