'TOTAL LOSS': FIRE DESTROYS HOARDER HOME IN COLORADO SPRINGS

Flames devoured a hoarder home in Colorado Springs. "Crews arrived in just 5 minutes and found the fire had already spread from the garage into the second floor of the home," the fire department said. A resident was treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation. Firefighters faced "heavy hoarding conditions inside and outside the house, along with reports of gasoline and propane tanks stored in the garage," officials said. The blaze erupted Tuesday on Alteza Drive and "the home is a total loss," officials said. To help a family member or neighbor who is hoarding, contact the Colorado Hoarding Task Force (720) 571-7561.
