An auto smashed hood-first into a building on West Colfax Avenue in Lakewood, hurting the motorist. "The vehicle's airbags deployed in the crash, and the driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," West Metro Fire said. "Firefighters determined the building was structurally sound, and shoring was not required," officials said. The incident occurred in the 6500-block of West Colfax on Saturday. No other injuries were reported.
