An elderly bicycle rider was struck and killed Monday morning after peddling in front of an auto in Longmont, the state patrol said.
The man, age 85, was pronounced dead at the scene after first responders performed CPR. The driver of the auto remained on the scene on Highway 119 at 83rd Street.
"As he attempted to turn left onto 83rd Street, the cyclist made 3 lane changes, moving from the left shoulder into the far-left lane of southbound Highway 119," the patrol said.
