INJURED FIREFIGHTER MAKING PROGRESS

West Metro Firefighter Jarrod Leonard, who suffered a severe brain injury in a 50-foot fall during training, has been transferred from a hospital to a transitional care facility.
"Jarrod still has a long road ahead, but this move marks another step forward," West Metro officials said. The next goal is to move Leonard to a neurological rehabilitation facility. The training accident occurred in rocky terrain near Morrison on July 29. "We continue to be grateful for the support and well wishes from our community, as well as our fire and law enforcement partners who have supported Jarrod, his family and West Metro throughout this difficult time," officials said.
