Members of Engine Company 51 of Arvada Fire rescued a litter of four abandoned kittens - thanks to an alert passerby. The "observant citizen heard noises coming from a storm drain," called 911 and directed the firefighters to the newborns, officials said. The rescue occurred Sunday at a shopping plaza off Olde Wadsworth Boulevard and Arvada police animal services took custody - and provided TLC. [Photo: Arvada Fire]
