A man sitting in a highway died after being dragged 130 feet by a hit-and-run auto in Mesa County.
The crash occurred on Highway 139 south of Loma early Monday and the hit-and-run vehicle is believed to be a light-colored SUV-type auto. The state patrol said: "Preliminary reports indicate a 35-year-old male was seated in the middle of the northbound lane of Highway 139 at milepost 1." He was pronounced dead at hospital.
