West Metro firefighter Jarrod Leonard suffered a traumatic brain injury in last week's training accident near Morrison, officials disclosed Monday. Leonard - who fell 50 feet in steep, rocky terrain - "is making small, encouraging improvements, but still faces a long road to recovery," officials said. He remains in serious condition. Leonard has been a member of West Metro for 23 years. He is also a paramedic and technical rescue instructor. The accident occurred Wednesday. [Photo: West Metro Fire]
