Colorado State Trooper Skylar Hoehn, who sustained serious injuries in this week's ambush in Teller County, is recovering in hospital and "doing well at this time," the state patrol reports.
Trooper Clark Tinan, who sustained minor injuries, was treated and released, according to the patrol.
The gunman in Monday morning's attack - Robert Rudolf Richards Jr., 51, of Loveland - was shot dead by Teller County deputies after a two-hour manhunt.
