Alerted by a property manager, Aurora police seized weapons hidden in vacant apartments - including two firearms stolen from a police department in Alabama.
The manager told officers the empty units "were being used for criminal trespassing," according to police. However, the trespassers were nowhere to be found.
Officers "recovered numerous firearm parts - including two gunstocks, multiple shotgun barrel guards and barrels - and located two firearms with altered serial numbers," police said. [Photo: Aurora Police]
