LIFE PLUS 224 YEARS FOR AURORA KILLER


A judge sentenced cold-blooded Nelson Francisco Miranda-Rivas - convicted of murder, attempted murder and other charges in three shootings in Aurora - to life in prison plus 224 years.

On the night of Feb. 13, 2023, Miranda-Rivas, 29, of Federal Heights, killed a man found in the parking lot of Pitchers Sports Bar in the 1600-block of South Chambers Road.

He also injured a man at Highline Park and fired a gun into a home on Idalia Circle where the victim of the sports bar murder resided. No one was injured on Idalia Circle.
