Local, state and federal authorities arrested 13 suspected members of a drug ring dealing in deadly meth and fentanyl in southern Colorado, the Alamosa Police Department said Wednesday.
A 14th suspect eluded capture.
"This investigation was initiated due to the organized crime distribution network plaguing the San Luis Valley with illicit narcotics," police said.
Arrests were made in city of Alamosa and the Sanford, Antonito, and Bountiful sections of Alamosa County.
"Information provided by community members plays an important role in helping law enforcement identify and address illegal drug activity," police said.
