MICHAEL AND HIS PAL DWIGHT CATCH RAYS AT DENVER ZOO

Furry friends Michael and Dwight take in sunbathing at the Denver Zoo on a daily basis - and that's quite natural behavior for ring-tailed lemurs. Each morning, they "sit upright on their haunches, with legs and arms spread out and forearms resting on their knees, exposing the undersides of their limbs to the sun to thermoregulate," the zoo reports. What's more, "since they're highly social animals, touching or holding onto each other while they bask also helps reinforce and strengthen social bonds," the zoo says. [Photo: Denver Zoo]
