Jeness Torres, 18, was booked into the Adams County Detention Facility on Sunday on charges of 2nd-degree murder in a Brighton slaying, police said.
The homicide occurred near the 3100-block of Eagle Boulevard at 12:30 a.m.
"When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim, a 33-year-old male, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds," according to police. "Officers immediately began lifesaving measures on the victim.
"Shortly after, the victim was transported to an area hospital by medical personnel, where he succumbed to his injuries," police said.
