FOG FORCED MEDICAL CHOPPER TO DIVERT TO GEORGETOWN
Thick fog forced a Fight of Life medical helicopter enroute to a Denver area hospital to divert to Georgetown, the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office said.
The flight originated in Summit County and the patient was transferred to a Clear Creek County ambulance for the rest of the trip by ground. Two members of the Flight for Life crew also transferred to the ambulance.
The incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Oct. 16.
