SHELTER-IN-PLACE LIFTED AFTER ELECTRIC AUTO FIRE IN ARAPAHOE COUNTY

UPDATE

Authorities lifted a shelter-in-place order after an electric auto fire belched black smoke over a neighborhood in Arapahoe County.

The auto burst into flames during the Tuesday morning rush hour at Arapahoe Road and Waco Street in Foxfield, according to South Metro Fire.
Firefighters let the vehicle "burn itself out," the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said.

The driver escaped. No injuries were reported.
