A drunken driver traveling in the wrong direction on I-76 slammed head-on into several autos and fled into a field on foot - "easily disappearing in the dark," police said.
The episode occurred in Commerce City and a drone launched from police headquarters - equipped with infrared imaging - led officers to the suspect, who was arrested.
The "terrifying" incident occurred Saturday night, police said. No serious injuries were reported.
