WEST COLFAX FENTANYL HAUL

Denver police arrested a driver who eluded officers and seized about 3,000 suspected fentanyl pills, narcotics, cash, a
stolen gun and a cache of ammunition The driver, identified as an adult male, is a convicted felon, police said. The arrest occurred Feb. 21 at a West Colfax Avenue service station. The suspect didn't put up a fight. A police helicopter was called to help track the fleeing vehicle, which raced through downtown and traveled west on West 6th Avenue. It was first spotted on East Colfax Avenue. Upon arrest, the driver faced charges of possession of a weapon by a previous offender, felony eluding and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, police said.
