MOZZARELLA CHEESE KING JIM LEPRINO DIES AT 88

James "Jim" G. Leprino, 88, chairman of Denver's 
Leprino Foods Company - the world’s largest mozzarella cheese manufacturer - died Thursday, the company announced. The global food and diary business sprouted from a small grocery store, opened by Leprino's father, Mike, at 38th and Shoshone Street, where the family began making ricotta and scamorza cheese by hand.
