SECOND MAN CHARGED IN ERICA LONG KIDNAP; HE'S FROM VEGAS

UPDATE

Authorities in Nevada arrested a second suspect in the Internet luring and disappearance of Aurora teen Erica Long, police said Thursday.

Long, 14, was found safe Wednesday at the Las Vegas home of Cameron Scruggs, 25, who faces charges of kidnapping in Colorado and a related crime in Nevada,
Aurora Police Commander Marc Paolino said at a news conference.

"This whole situation came about from chat rooms and social media," Paolino said.

Paolino said Long left her home early on June 16 in the company of a man named Christian Williamson, 26, of Kremmling, Colorado, who faces Internet crime charges in the dramatic case. Williamson and Long then checked into a hotel in Lakewood on June 16 and Scruggs met them June 17 and drove Long to Nevada, Paolino said. Authorities
also investigated the possibility of a "female accomplice," he said. Long was last seen by her family on the evening on June 15, Father's Day. Her parents later found a journal detailing a plan to run away, providing leads for investigators, Paolino said.
