SCOOTER BOY FATALLY INJURED IN CROSSWALK

A 12-year-old boy sustained fatal injuries Saturday in an Aurora scooter accident, police said.

The youngster was struck by a distracted motorist in a crosswalk on East Iliff Avenue near South Wheel Park Circle. The boy had activated the crossing signal. "This tragic incident serves as an important reminder to all drivers: put your phones down, avoid distractions while driving, and stay focused on the road," police said.
