SPEED DEMON CLOCKED AT 172 MPH ON LOCAL HIGHWAY

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is stepping up enforcement on Highway 285 - after clocking speeds of 172 mph, 143 mph, 116 mph and 103 mph. "If you’re tempted to treat Hwy 285 like a racetrack, remember this: tickets will be written, vehicles might be impounded, and even a ride to jail is possible," the sheriff's office said.
