A regional crackdown this week on fake and expired license plates led to a significant drug seizure, the Adams County Sheriff's Office said.
In one auto, deputies discovered in 153 grams of Ketamine, 1.3 pounds of THC/marijuana, 1.75 pounds of dry marijuana, 2.27 grams of cocaine and Xanax. Wednesday's enforcement effort included the state patrol, police from Brighton, Thornton, Westminster and the ADCOM emergency communications center, the sheriff's office said. In Westminster, police reported 70 traffic stops, 59 citations for registration and speeding violations and two arrests. They also impounded three vehicles. In Thornton, police made 86 traffic stops, issued 84 citations, impounded six vehicles and arrested two people.
