Responding to a report of a fake veterinarian, police confiscated 35 animals from a suburban home - and took custody of the owners' three children, police said. Husband and wife Demetrio Urbina, 38, Araceli Urbina, 32, face a variety of charges following a raid by police and animal control officers this week on East 113th Avenue in Commerce City, police said. "What brought us there in the first place is grotesque," Commerce City police said on social media. "The homeowner performed an unlicensed veterinary procedure on a dog that subsequently died." Authorities found 31 dogs, two cats and two guinea pigs. Many of the dogs were in small cages.
