A lone student fired about 20 rounds in nine minutes in last week's horror at Evergreen High School, according to an investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
Details were released Tuesday.
"The terrible event lasted nine minutes from the first shot fired to the last, when the shooter killed himself," officials said. "Shots were fired in several locations inside the school. One student was injured inside and another injured outside the school."
"We are deeply grateful for the courage and calm shown by Evergreen High School students, teachers, and staff," officials said. "Their training, quick thinking, and resilience helped prevent an even greater tragedy."
