Troy Marcus Reynolds, Jr., 33, has been charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Kathleen Mayo, Lone Tree police said Friday.
Mayo, 57, a ride share driver, was found dead at her at home at 10400 Park Meadows Drive on Sept. 4.
Reynolds also faces charges of burglary, animal cruelty, menacing and tampering with physical evidence, police said.
The FBI and Douglas County Sheriff's Office took part in the investigation, which continues.
