COLORADO POVERTY 5TH LOWEST AMONG STATES
Colorado's poverty rate is 8.2%, the fifth lowest in the nation, the governor's office said Friday.
"Our work to create good-paying jobs, attract businesses, improve access to quality education, and grow an economy that works for everyone is driving down poverty and increasing opportunities for all,” Governor Jared Polis said.
The poverty data are compiled by the U.S. Census Bureau.
