A kayaker went missing Thursday evening at Carter Lake, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said.
Searchers "located the kayak but not the man," who is presumed dead, officials said. He wasn't wearing a life vest, according to witnesses.
Portions of Carter Lake south of Dam 1 were closed for the search.
