UPDATE
A state trooper shot at an auto thief ramming police cars Thursday in the parking lot of a Walmart in Evergreen and authorities arrested the suspect after a chase on eastbound I-70, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.
The Colorado State Patrol said: "While no known injuries resulted from the gunfire exchange in the Walmart parking lot, the one trooper who was struck by the suspect ramming his cruiser was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment."
The stolen vehicle was reported missing from Summit County and police were tracking it via GPS. It carried a box containing a tool with radioactive material that was safely recovered.
I-70 was shut down during the incident.
