UPDATE
A heavily armed SWAT unit arrested a suspect in a dangerous standoff Monday that dragged on for hours in Commerce City.
Police responded to a "shots fired" call in the early morning and the suspect refused to surrender peacefully. The suspect was arrested at about 2:30 p.m. and faces a variety of changes, including shooting through a wall into a neighbor's home. Police negotiators were on the scene throughout the day in the 5300-block of 63rd Place. Authorities instructed neighbors to stay indoors during the standoff. No injuries were reported.
