UPDATE
A small aircraft made a crash landing early Wednesday on a major roadway in Colorado Springs, the fire department said.
The three occupants survived. No serious injuries were reported.
The propeller-driven aircraft just missed slashing through a utility pole on Powers Boulevard near Barnes Road, photos show, and firefighters contained a fuel leak.
Police spokesman Ira Cronin told KKTV: "There’s probably three individuals who were on that plane who had some very intense moments and are feeling very lucky this morning.”
