ACCUSED DRUNK DRIVER PLOWS INTO COP K9 CAR IN AURORA

Victor Balderas-Castellanos, 50, is accused of running a red light and crashing into an Aurora squad car carrying a police K9 and its handler while driving drunk. The unmarked police unit was stopped at Del Mar Circle and Kenton Street on Tuesday night when the suspect's silver auto careened into its right side. Canine and handler are OK. Balderas-Castellanos was arrested on charges of DUI, careless driving, failing to yield, driving without a valid license and no insurance. "This should serve as a not-so-gentle reminder that drinking and driving is NEVER okay," police said on social media. "Uber, call a friend.
