Flames ripped through a large home in Wheat Ridge on Sunday, West Metro Fire Rescue said.
"The fire had been burning for some time before neighbors and people on a nearby walking trail spotted smoke and flames," officials said. The blaze - which was reported to 911 by neighbors and people walking on a nearby trail - broke out in the rear of the home in the 3200-block of Tabor Court and spread into the attic, causing significant damage. No one was at home. No injuries were reported. [Photos: West Metro Fire Rescue]
