Angry civil rights workers are accusing ICE agents in Colorado of engaging in a type of psychological warfare common during the Vietnam War - dealing "Death Cards" to intimidate people.
In a statement on its website, the group Voces Unidas said playing cards - embossed with the address of the ICE field office in Aurora - were tucked inside autos left behind by Latino detainees in Eagle County for their families to find.
ICE officials condemned the practice, according to a statement issued to The Denver Post.
In Vietnam, American GIs would drop death cards - typically the Ace of Spades, as pictured below - on bodies of Viet Cong and North Vietnamese troops, as depicted in a combat scene in the movie classic "Apocalypse Now."
