BOMB SQUAD RACES TO BENT COUNTY

A bomb squad raced to Bent County on Sunday to assist deputies in a standoff with "a man believed to be in possession of incendiary devices," the sheriff's office said. "Deputies established a secure perimeter and safely evacuated nearby residences as a precaution," officials said. "Through coordinated efforts, deputies were able to take the suspect into custody without incident.

"The scene was subsequently rendered safe with the assistance of the Pueblo Bomb Squad. There is no ongoing threat to the public."
