Armed with a search warrant, FBI and ATF explosives teams - backed by state and local authorities - raided a location in Lamar on Thursday, police said.
Neighbors were evacuated. Firefighters, medics and a medical helicopter were standing by. The Pueblo bomb squad provided support. Explosive K9s were pressed into service.
Lamar police provided no other information on the huge law enforcement operation, in the 1100-block of East Oak Street, citing an ongoing investigation. They did, however, say there is no danger to the public. The neighborhood includes a mobile home park and single-family homes.
Lamar is located in southeast Colorado.
