DENVER BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT WROTE '5-STAR' BOOK ABOUT HIS LIFE AS BANK ROBBER


The suspect in a local bank robbery penned a memoir called "The Life Of An Outlaw" - detailing his life as a bank robber.

Author Charles Martinez, 48, who did time in federal prison, is accused of doing it again at a U.S. Bank branch at Colorado Boulevard and East 7th Avenue in Denver on Jan 5. No one was injured, according to police. No weapon was seen.

Martinez, whose last known address was in Arvada, pleaded guilty to a series of bank heists a quarter century ago.

His book - published in 2019 - has garnered five stars from readers on Amazon.com, which describes it as "t
he true story of a bank robber paying his debt to society in some of the most ruthless and bloody prisons the American Justice system has to offer."
