Firefighters went to the aid of a baby deer stranded on ice at Lake Wauconda in Perry Park over the weekend. "After getting back to the shore, the deer was very tired but seemed fine," Larkspur Fire said. Castle Rock firefighters responded to the rescue call, too, and rangers provided care and monitored the little deer's recovery, officials said. [Photos: Larkspur Fire]
