916 PHONE CALLS: EX-BOYFRIEND WOULDN'T TAKE NO FOR ANSWER, COPS SAY
A woman who broke up with her boyfriend in November told deputies he called her 916 times since then, the Weld County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Now Joseph Trujillo, 25, has been arrested and faces stalking charges as "this pattern of communication and conduct resulted in emotional distress and fear for the victim," the sheriff's office said. Trujillo is also accused of trying to make contact via voicemail, other phones numbers and social media - even after the woman blocked him - and showing up at her home. The sheriff's office said: "Maintaining a detailed record of incidents—including dates, times, locations, and any witnesses—along with preserving digital evidence can greatly assist investigators" in alleged stalking cases.
