A security scan showed jail inmate Kamber Lawrence, 23, was hiding a deadly dose of fentanyl "in a body cavity," the Mesa County Sheriff's Office said Friday. "Confronted by staff, she attempted to retrieve the drugs and tore open the bag, exposing herself and detention staff to a lethal amount of suspected fentanyl," officials said. No serious injuries were reported. Lawrence was originally locked up on outstanding warrants, weapon and drug charges, and contraband charges were added. She was booked into the jail Jan. 25 and the drugs were discovered two days later. [Photo: Mesa County Sheriff's Office]
