Deputies in disbelief helped round up wayward "Charlie the Wallaby" and return him to his home in Highlands Ranch, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
The exotic resident of Colorado - who has his own Instagram page - bounced around the neighborhood for a time. Back home, one of the peace officers soothed him with a chunk of mango.
Colorado allows residents to own a wallaby as long as they obtain a state license. The incident occurred Jan. 29 and a patrol sergeant said: "I’m not going to lie. This is going to be the highlight of my year."
