The National Weather Service office in Boulder says: "Critical fire conditions will be in place this afternoon over eastern Larimer and northern Weld counties. Gusty winds up to 35 mph will occur especially closer to the Wyoming border."
To the south, the weather office in Pueblo says: "Unseasonably warm temperatures expected today with temperatures approaching record highs. Breezy afternoon winds and low relative humidity will lead to high fire danger across the southeast mountains and adjacent southern plains."
