Denver police arrested a suspect in the murder of a teenage girl whose shooting death had appeared to be suicide.
Police identified the suspect as Jassir Simmins, 18. He was acquainted with the victim and faces a charge of first-degree murder.
The death occurred Tuesday in the 5500-block of North Tucson Street, police said in a statement issued Wednesday.
