TOUGH RESCUE IN CLEAR CREEK CANYON

The Alpine Rescue Team and Golden firefighters saved a seriously injured hiker in Clear Creek Canyon.

The hiker was lowered 800 feet to the base of the canyon in the area of Tunnel 3 and transported across the creek using a highline.

Golden Fire-Rescue Local 5800 said: "The patient was transported to a local trauma center in serious condition." The dramatic incident occurred Wednesday. [Photos: Alpine Rescue Team, Golden Fire Rescue Local 5800]
