A man accused of shooting his girlfriend's adult son surrendered after a brief standoff in Greeley, police said Wednesday.
The shooting occurred during a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex in the 1700-block of 6th Avenue on Tuesday.
Police said: "A 'Reverse 911' was issued at 4:23 p.m., advising nearby residents to shelter in place. Following 25 minutes of negotiation, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident, lifting the shelter order. His identity is currently being withheld to protect the victims' privacy."
