UPDATE
A person suffered burns in a fire that gutted a third-floor apartment in Denver.
Medics evaluated several other people for smoke inhalation from the fire, which started in a couch, the fire department said.
The fire broke out early Thursday on Bruce Randolph Drive.
Later in the day, Denver firefighters fought an apartment fire in Montbello. No injuries were reported.
