A two-alarm fire caused severe damage Thursday to the Birch Apartments in Glendale.
No serious injuries were reported, the Denver Fire Department said. People were reported to be trapped on the roof.
More than 20 engines, ladder trucks and other units responded to the blaze in the 1100-block of South Birch Street.
