A monster prairie fire crashed into southeastern Colorado from the Oklahoma panhandle Sunday, engulfing more than 28,000 acres, Springfield Fire said.
The small town of Campo was evacuated. Campo is located in Baca County. Surrounding communities sent mutual aid while aerial tankers took to the sky.
